| Profile: With a decade of experience in the estate, the exceptional pedigree of the Aston Estate vineyard continues to thrill and impress us. As the vines mature year after year, they consistently deliver fruit with amazing richness and complexity and produce a wine that is a masterful expression of California's "True" Sonoma Coast. The cool weather of the 2011 vintage provided ideal conditions for growing on the Sonoma Coast. 2011 Aston Estate Pinot displays a provocative mélange of raspberries, red currants and strawberries with allspice, white pepper and clove spice notes. True to past vintages, hints of mandarin peel and sweet herbs are complemented by lush floral flavors of rose petal and gardenia with a creamy vanilla panna cotta undertone and an intriguing minerality unique to the estate's soil. Deep garnet in color, this beautiful wine carries multidimensional layers with a balanced and bright acidity and rich meaty texture. It's intensely rich concentration and density are plush on the palate and supported by a long, supple finish. Once again, we give thanks to our rock star team of vineyard Manager Ulises Valdez and Winemaker Thomas Rivers brown who have brought forward another spectacular wine that represents the finest this vineyard and vintage had to offer.
